In honor of Suicide Awareness Month, the DMH SEA Board is sponsoring this event to highlight the importance of engaging with people who may be experiencing hopelessness and thoughts of self-harm.

About the event
Participants will learn how our thinking about suicide and suicide prevention has evolved; the importance of basic and empathic human connection that we all can provide; effective models for making connections with young people and adults who may be having thoughts of self-harm; and about resources and training that can be effective in preventing suicide.
